Kathleen Henry

Director

Kathleen Henry has many years of experience teaching children and adults of all ages in ballet and acting.

She has taught in California for San Jose Ballet, Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre, and Ballet Arts Centre. In Winnipeg for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Contemporary Dancers Canada and Manitoba Theatre for Young People. Her directing credits are extensive and have mainly focused on children's theatre and dance. She has directed and choreographed theatre productions and ballets in California at the Henry Mello Performing Arts Centre, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, and San Jose Performing Arts Centre. Kathleen also worked as dance teacher for Balmoral Hall School. Kathleen was performance director for a children's television show on Discovery Channel. She has written and directed in film. Kathleen served as the artistic director for Santa Cruz Performing Arts Alliance in California, working with Shakespeare Santa Cruz. Kathleen studied her dance training with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Contemporary Dancers, York University, and with Kristine Elliot (Former Soloist with American Ballet Theatre). Kathleen also holds a degree in Theatre and Film from the University of Winnipeg.

 

Maggie Dalke

Youth Musical Director

Maggie has been involved in theatre since she was 10 years old and has always loved performing. She graduated Highschool earning a performing arts scholarship and then graduated from the University of Winnipeg in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre. In 2015, Maggie joined the Theatre Dance Centre team as an Assistant Musical Director with the production of "Into the Woods Jr." (2016) and "Alice in Wonderland" (2017). She also instructed the Broadway Voice Competition class, which claimed the gold in the Winnipeg Dance Festival Competition 2018.

Since then she has been the Musical Director for numerous children and adult company productions, including "Les Miserable Jr." (2018), "Newsies" (2019) "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" (2019), and "Into the Woods" (2021). This coming year she will be the Musical Director for “Finding Nemo Jr.” and performing in All About Theatre's Adult company.

 

Arielle Block

Musical Competition Team + Youth Musical Director

Arielle Block is a singer, dancer, actor, and educator. She enjoys performing musical theatre, opera, and classical music. Arielle is a dancer in Kadima Dance Company and has been trained in many genres of dance throughout her life. She has performed internationally in Cuba, Ukraine, and Israel. Arielle’s choreography and costuming has won numerous awards for the Musical Theatre Competition Team. Arielle holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, Performance/Acting, and a Bachelor of Music in Choral Musical Education.

Arielle joined the TDC Team in 2017 as the Musical Director of “Oliver”. Arielle directs the Musical Theatre Competition Team, is one of the Musical Directors for children’s productions, and is the current MD for “13”. Most recently, Arielle was the Musical Director for “Matilda Jr.” (2021) “Seussical Jr.” and “Lion King Jr.” (2022). She loves sharing her experiences and guidance with students of all ages. Arielle is extremely passionate about musical theatre, and sharing her love, experience, and knowledge of dance and musical theatre with her students at Theatre Dance Centre.

 

Ella Wiebe

Musical Director

Ella has been singing since she was 2 years old, and started her vocal training with Pembina Trails Voices Choir at the age of 6. During that time she was ecstatic to get her first lead role as the Dog in the children’s opera Brundibar, which was a collaboration between Pembina Trails Voices and The Manitoba Chamber Orchestra. Since then Ella has performed in a variety of different shows. She’s performed with MTYP’s musical ensemble, The Gilbert and Sullivan Society and the U of M’s musical theatre ensemble.

Ella has been performing with All About Theatre for 4 years now, and she has gotten the opportunity to perform some of her favourite roles which include The Tin Man "Wizard of Oz" (2018), Sally Brown "You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown" (2019), Molly Aster "Peter and the Starcatcher" (2019) and Cinderella "Into the Woods" (2021). Ella loves to perform and share her passion for musical theatre on the stage!

 

Andrew Doerksen

Youth Musical Director


From a young age Andrew has loved the stage. He has a passion for learning and is always looking for opportunities to grow as a performer. In high school he took part in school musicals and drama clubs and toured with his choir across western Canada and to Chicago. Andrew rediscovered his love for theatre in college and went on to complete a practicum with Candlewick Productions in Morden. He has continued to perform in plays, musicals, and dinner theatres.  Recently, Andrew joined All About Theatre for their 2023 Winnipeg Fringe production.

 

Cora Matheson

Acting, Improv, Audition Prep + Yoga Instructor


Cora is a working actor, acting coach, director and yoga teacher with over 15 years of experience in the acting industry. A graduate of both Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts and George Brown Theatre School, she spent over ten years working and training in Toronto with some of the country’s most sort after instructors.


As a yoga instructor and a dancer by root, she’s passionate about combining the world of body awareness and grounding into the world of script and text. What she’s most passionate about, however, is helping individuals build self confidence, self worth, and empowering them to bring their own unique selves into their lives and work- whether that’s on the stage, or not!

 

Anika Serrano

Children Hip Hop Instructor


Anika started dancing at the age of 7 by learning through YouTube videos and copying her siblings dance friends. Ever since then, she’s gained a strong passion for the art and joined her first competitive dance team in 2015. Anika has since been apart of Winnipeg’s growing dance scene, competing and showcasing all around Canada.


Anika has been apart of many teams that shaped her into the dancer she is today, the first one being General Wolfe Middle School’s General Chaos (2015-2017). This junior team gave her the opportunity to be apart of an independent dance company outside of school, named Project Company, to train with their junior team Project Hype (2016-2018). She moved to their two varsity teams called Prodigy and Prodigals (2018-2020) and also joined Tec Voc High School’s dance team DTC (2018-2021). She then danced with Project Company’s adult team named Project Company (2020-2021) before the dance company disbanded in 2022. Anika is currently dancing with Sikat Dance Company and plans to continue dancing with them to help challenge her and further keep growing in dance.

 

While being in a handful of a teams, Anika has been able to attend plenty of competitions in Winnipeg, Edmonton, Vancouver, and even in California for World of Dance. She has also competed with a solo in the Canadian National Dance Competition winning first place with high gold in 2019 and the International Dance Organization winning third place in the whole world under the urban street dance division in 2021. Anika is excited to be sharing her love for dance and teach her knowledge over the years with her students at All About Theatre.
