Kathleen Henry
Director
Kathleen Henry has many years of experience teaching children and adults of all ages in ballet and acting.
She has taught in California for San Jose Ballet, Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre, and Ballet Arts Centre. In Winnipeg for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Contemporary Dancers Canada and Manitoba Theatre for Young People. Her directing credits are extensive and have mainly focused on children's theatre and dance. She has directed and choreographed theatre productions and ballets in California at the Henry Mello Performing Arts Centre, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, and San Jose Performing Arts Centre. Kathleen also worked as dance teacher for Balmoral Hall School. Kathleen was performance director for a children's television show on Discovery Channel. She has written and directed in film. Kathleen served as the artistic director for Santa Cruz Performing Arts Alliance in California, working with Shakespeare Santa Cruz. Kathleen studied her dance training with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Contemporary Dancers, York University, and with Kristine Elliot (Former Soloist with American Ballet Theatre). Kathleen also holds a degree in Theatre and Film from the University of Winnipeg.
Maggie Dalke
Musical Director
Maggie has been immersed in the world of theatre since childhood, developing a lifelong passion for performance and the arts. She earned a performing arts scholarship to the University of Winnipeg, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre.
Her journey with All About Theatre began in 2015, and since then she has become a core member of the creative team, working as Musical Director, performer, and mentor. Maggie has led dozens of productions spanning classics, contemporary hits, and youth editions of Broadway favorites, guiding performers to success both onstage and in competition.
She is especially passionate about helping young performers discover confidence, creativity, and joy through musical theatre. In addition to her directing and teaching, Maggie continues to perform with All About Theatre’s Adult Company, balancing her love of the stage with her commitment to nurturing the next generation of artists.
Katie Skwarchuk
Ballet/ Musical Theatre
Katie has been involved in music and dance since the age of 3. She is currently completing a Bachelor of Music at the University of Manitoba, specializing in both education and performance.
Katie grew up studying ballet and Ukrainian folk dance at Rusalka UNF, and has been a member of the Troyanda Ukrainian Dance Ensemble since 2021. She has explored many dance styles, including jazz, contemporary, musical theatre, and lyrical under the tutelage of Kathleen Henry at All About Theatre and her teachers at Karen Luba School of Dance. You can spot Katie dancing in many performance opportunities throughout the year, such as the Winnipeg Fringe Festival, Folklorama, and the All About Theatre company productions.
Katie has completed her Level 1 Orff certification, an internationally recognized approach to teaching music and movement. Katie has been a part of the teaching faculty at Rusalka UNF and All About Theatre since 2020. She is looking forward to meeting all of her students and for another exciting year of exploration and learning.
Andrew Doerksen
Musical Director
From a young age Andrew has loved the stage. He has a passion for learning and is always looking for opportunities to grow as a performer. In high school he took part in school musicals and drama clubs and toured with his choir across western Canada and to Chicago. Andrew rediscovered his love for theatre in college and went on to complete a practicum with Candlewick Productions in Morden. He has continued to perform in plays, musicals, and dinner theatres. Recently, Andrew joined All About Theatre for their 2023 Winnipeg Fringe production.
Pedro Aurelio
Tap/Flamenco
Pedro Aurelio started his dance training as a teenager back in Puerto Rico. First through years of private tap dancing lessons with New York teacher and choreographer Cynthia Riffle and then later also including ballet and flamenco training at Ballets de San Juan. After a ballet summer intensive in Russia he then moved to Washington DC to study at the Kirov Academy of Ballet and performed with the Spanish Dance Society in such venues as the Kennedy Center as well as performances in New York City.
Upon moving to Canada he continued his training with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet Professional Divison, later graduating with distinction from the RWB Teachers Course. Pedro has been teaching tap, ballet, and flamenco for over 25 years at several institutions including the RWB School, Institute of Dance Manitoba, Theatre Dance Centre, the Anchorage Ballet, and at Bolero Dance Theatre, a flamenco dance troupe that he founded and with whom he has done numerous study trips to Spain over the years.
Pedro has also made many trips to New York where he has experienced over 50 Broadway shows. He has also done several tap dance classes from Steps on Broadway and is a graduate of the Level One iTap Teacher Certificate Program under Hillary-Marie.
As choreographer he has created endless productions and shows for the Winnipeg Fringe Festival to rave reviews.
Pedro Aurelio holds Bachelors of Arts and Education from the University of Winnipeg and is a teacher at Grant Park High School where he is also involved with their performing arts department.
